Home Learning

This page contains different tasks for you to complete at home if you are off school but well enough to continue some learning.

Talk for Writing

Below you will find a booklet containing a full Talk for Writing unit of work.  There is a text to learn, reading and SPaG activities to complete and then a writing task at the end!

Reading

Please continue to read your home reading book while you are off- you can still get your adult to sign your planner too!  Remember that you can also complete AR quizzes from home (for your school book and any others you might be reading at home), just follow the link on the main Dragons page.

As an extra challenge, I have also included a short story for you to read and answer some comprehension questions on:

Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar (SPaG)

There are a few different tasks you could work on for SPaG at home.  For spelling, you could choose a few of the trickier words on the Year 3-4 word list to practise.  Remember, if you would like some ideas for how to practise your spellings, the 'Spelling Menu' is on the main Dragons page.

There are also some activities for punctuation and grammar here:

Maths

As always, you can practise your skills on Mathletics and Times Tables Rockstars while you are at home- the links for these are on the main Dragons page.

In addition, you will also find a copy of the Year 4 Maths Facts below, as well as activities you can work on to practise some of them:

Use the Times Tables Menu to learn a new table:

If you are still looking for more maths to do, then the link below will take you to an online place value unit on the Oak Academy website.  You will find teaching videos and different online activities to help reinforce the things we have covered in class.
