This page contains different tasks for you to complete at home if you are off school but well enough to continue some learning.
Monday 14th June
There are a few different things for you to complete today- luckily Friday's science lesson was something you can definitely have a go at at home!
Tuesday 15th June
Lots of literacy things today- maths will be back tomorrow! There are some comprehension questions and the boxing up for The Canal, plus some more apostrophes practice (we did the first part of this sheet last week- this could be your warm up).
Wednesday 16th June
Today there is a maths lesson on different types of quadrilaterals with Mr Flack. I have also put up a photograph of the apostrophe rules to help you with today's SPaG task.
Thursday 17th June
For today's literacy you will be finding the characterisation toolkit from The Canal. There is also some RSE work from Mrs Montgomery.
Friday 18th June
Today there is another maths lesson with Mr Flack, as well as some more apostrophes work.
Talk for Writing
Below you will find a booklet containing a full Talk for Writing unit of work. There is a text to learn, reading and SPaG activities to complete and then a writing task at the end!
Please continue to read your home reading book while you are off- you can still get your adult to sign your planner too! Remember that you can also complete AR quizzes from home (for your school book and any others you might be reading at home), just follow the link on the main Dragons page.
As an extra challenge, I have also included a short story for you to read and answer some comprehension questions on:
Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar (SPaG)
There are a few different tasks you could work on for SPaG at home. For spelling, you could choose a few of the trickier words on the Year 3-4 word list to practise. Remember, if you would like some ideas for how to practise your spellings, the 'Spelling Menu' is on the main Dragons page.
As always, you can practise your skills on Mathletics and Times Tables Rockstars while you are at home- the links for these are on the main Dragons page.
In addition, you will also find a copy of the Year 4 Maths Facts below, as well as activities you can work on to practise some of them:
